Two New E-mount lenses Announced Today

Lomo and Tokina have come up with two new lenses in 2021. These are just the start of more lenses to come from these two.

Tokina announced the new 65mm T/1.5 Cine lens

This lens is for all types of E-mount cameras including Canon EF series, Micro Four Thirds, Sony E series and the traditional Arri PL and LPL cine mounts. The best part of this lens is that you can use it on most cameras owning to its large image circle and sensor size. The telephoto focal length is perfect for producing natural looking images.

The optical structure of this lens consists of 14 elements in 13 groups. With a minimum focusing distance of 0.69m it enables videographers to get relatively close to subjects. It also creates a Bokeh effect for portraits. The nine bladed aperture further supports this. Features like focus breathing and chromatic aberrations have been exceptionally well controlled in this lens.

Lomo announced the new 17mmf /2.8 E lens

Lomo lenses are for Nikon Z series, Canon EF, Leica M-mount and Sony E series. This lens is a compact prime lens, with a dampened aperture control ring, short autofocus and helicoid focusing mechanism. The lens is constructed of 13 “multicoated” elements arranged in 10 groups with an 8-bladed aperture with a range of f/2.8 through f/22. This makes it perfect for landscape photography and street and travel photography.

The lens has a wide 103-degree field of view with “minimal distortion”. This calls for eye popping colour capture features and enhanced rectilinear optics.

You can preorder on Kickstarter with worldwide shipping. However shipping is difficult before August 2021, as it seems.
