All there is to Know about Fujifilm XH1 in 2020

Fuji fanfares can tell you that there is a nostalgia attached to all those who love Fuji. You are bound to fall in love with all the Fuji cameras all over again, no matter their specifications. This article tells you why Fujifilm X-H1 is still a favorite among photographers and why you should get a hold of it as a collector’s item.

Fuji X-H1 Review

Most Mirrorless cameras in the market have defined image stabilization or IBIS. This is true for both full-frame cameras and APS-C and M43 ones. Fuji never really bothered with IBIS, until the launch of X-H1. This was the first camera to feature an image stabilization. For most fans, this was the only deciding factor between X-H1 and other models of Fuji.

Fujifilm XH1 Dynamic Range

The deeper and larger grip of Fujifilm X-H1 has been especially useful with portrait photography. The shutter speed is slower allowing you to take shots at a very low shutter speed. This model offers dynamic range of photos in JPEG format and even in Raw files. As is common with all Fuji models, the images can be expanded up to 400%, without any distortion. Photographer Terry Rogers took around 200 portraits as a part of his project. He used Fujifilm X-H1 with XF90mm f/2 camera lens and the results were stunning. The depth of field was especially noticeable!

Fujifilm XH1 Camera

The specialty of a Fujifilm X-H1 is, it can bake the lens in Raw files instead of just offering them in JPEG format to the photographer. Thus, when you open the Raw files in Adobe Camera Raw, the correction is already done. Any distortion present can be easily taken out or hardly noticeable. The noise levels are also worth mentioning as X-H1 produces noise free photos. In 2018, no one could have thought of such advancement in technology with an APS-C sensor.

Fujifilm XH1 Discontinued

Alas, the Fujifilm X H1 has been discontinued. There are few left in the stock, which are running out fast. It may be a bad news for Fuji nostalgia lovers, but in its place the company has launched the XH2 series. Professionals say that Fujifilm XH1 did not get the success that it deserved. Most argue that it is due to the bad timing of marketing by Fuji. It had launched XH1 in February 2018 and 3 months later, the XT3 was announced, which totally stole the show. Fuji fans are of the opinion that XH1 was the best of the X series model. But with XT3 in the scene, the model received too many negative criticism that it could not reach its audience.

Fuji still remains to be one of the best that fans can ask for. They are still in demand with whatever is left in the market. Professionals say that shooting with X-H1 is like forming a relationship with the camera. There is an undeniable chemistry between the film, the photographer and the subject. This is what makes using Fujifilm X-H1 so interesting and this is why you need one in your possession.
